Our products are all sourced from Lebanon and honor the traditional handwork that goes into every ingredient. We highly believe in ethical standards of production, which is why our products directly benefit Lebanese suppliers and farmers.

30 Years of Hospitality

With its signature dishes, Le Cèdre Restaurant embodies the multicolored facets of Lebanon. And it has been doing so for 30 years.

Back then, Maurice Houraibi opened the first Lebanese restaurant in Zurich at a time when hommos and tahini were still foreign expressions for most visitors. Maurice's secret ingredient is undoubtedly his passion for exceptional quality. To this day, the son of a greengrocer and butcher selects every piece of meat personally. And three times a week, he wakes up at four o'clock in the morning to find the freshest fruits and vegetables at the market. This way, he always creates the tastiest specialties for his guests.
